Paying Homage to Israel
March 6 was Super Tuesday—the day, we are told, “when the voters in 10 battleground states could decide who will be the Republican nominee for president of the United States. So was Mitt Romney focused on Ohio—a key battleground state—over the course of the March 3-4 weekend? Did Rick Santorum fight for Georgia? Did Newt Gingrich woo the Southern states? No, they were slouching toward Gomorrah by the Potomac—to pay homage to the real rulers of America—together with Barack Obama and virtually every member of the Senate and the House, to pledge allegiance to the state of Israel at the  annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference for “three of the most important days affecting Israel’s future.”
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Across the street from the annual policy planning convention held by the pro-Israeli lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a band of tireless grassroots activists staged their own counter-conference the weekend of March 2-4, which they dubbed “Occupy AIPAC.” The organizers of the event hosted speakers and informational seminars, took to the streets to protest and even infiltrated and disrupted AIPAC’s gathering as more than half of Congress, the U.S. president, the top GOP presidential candidates and a host of foreign dignitaries showed up to pay homage to the most powerful lobby in America.
Funding Obama: Shekels and the super PACs
While the Obama super PAC machine hasn’t yet shifted into overdrive like his GOP foes, they are the recipients of funds being generated by Priorities USA Action. Although it raised only $59,000 in January, last year Jewish businessman and DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg dumped $2M into this super PAC, while comedian Bill Maher earmarked another $1M. Another major Jewish financier that intends to get into the game is Haim Saban, who made his fortune from animated television shows.
Is Police State Going to Crush Mass Protests?
A recently leaked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) document from October 2011 reveals that federal law enforcement officials have been keeping tabs on the Occupy Wall Street movement from its inception. Coordinated responses from local and state law enforcement agencies claim that the ongoing protests taking place in cities across the U.S. could soon turn ugly.
Exercising Free Speech a Federal Crime?
On Feb. 27, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011. If Obama signs this legislation, it will officially make it a federal offense for Americans to protest the government in any part of the country so long as an elected official is close by.
