UNRWA delivers aid to storm-ravaged West Bank refugees

Connect with AFU
Dear Friend,
The fiercest winter storm to hit the Middle East in 20 years is currently wreaking havoc and bringing misery to thousands of Palestine refugees in camps across the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.
Refugees are facing freezing conditions, intense flooding, and electricity cuts, and there are reports of nearly 20 deaths and the camp evacuation of hundreds of refugees from Syria due to violent flooding.
Despite the dangerous situation, UNRWA is committed to distributing assistance to as many people as possible. In the West Bank yesterday, UNRWA staff distributed aid, including hundreds of blankets and sandbags, to refugees in need.
Please visit our Facebook photo album to see images of the flooding, snow, and relief efforts. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to help with the winter relief efforts, please click here.
With thoughts of warmth and safety for all,
Abby Smardon
