Subject: Ashdown the liberal dictator
Sir,
Peter Hitchens is so right to condemn the war mongering of that corporatist supranationalist Paddy Ashdown who went out to be the dictator of Bosnia and Herzogovina and made a fool of himself by giving misleading testmony to the Hague Tribunal and who now wants to bomb the one side in Syria which has given a measure of protection to Christians there against the murderous attacks of Cameron/Obama’s Islamic allies.
The former President of Bosnia had written in “The Muslim Declaration”: “There can be no peace nor co-existence between the Islamic Faith and non Islamic institutions….The Islamic movement must and can take power as soon as it is morally and numerically strong enough not only to destroy the non Islamic power but to build a new Islamic one”. But Ashdown said of him “he became the father of his people – the person who did more than any other to ensure the survival of the modern state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Like so many “Liberal Democrats” Ashdown, while preaching moderation and community living at home, surrenders our democratic institutions to supranational powers like the UN and the EU and prances around the world intervening militarily in other people’s countries. We must learn from the character of Ashdown (and that other Liberal leader Lloyd George who said in the 1930s “Hitler was the greatest living German and it is a pity there were not more like him in England”) that fascist aggression is rather common in what is laughingly called the “centre” of British politics.
Yours etc
